  • How to obtain your 2012 ACU Affiliation or Licence

    A note from Terry Golds:

So that members can obtain their 2012 affiliation or licence on line if they want to, the ACU have changed the way that you can apply. You may have already received your ACU Renewal form but you will need your Unique Number from your Club or Membership Secretary before applying on hard copy or on line. The ACU want to ensure all members have joined an ACU club first.

Step 1) Apply to your club for renewal of membership for 2012 in the normal way, paying your membership fee.

Step 2) When that is approved and your membership card is returned, you should receive a “Unique Number”

(Your Club secretary will have been, or will shortly be, issued with a few hundred unique numbers. They will issue one number to each member who requires an ACU Licence or Affiliation.

    Step3)

    A) If you are using the Blue ACU Renewal form you have already received, you can complete it in the normal way, but at the end of the form you must enter this “Unique Club Membership Code”

This acts as your “Club Officials Signature”

    B) If you want to apply ‘On Line’ follow the link on the Press release that came with your ACU Renewal (https://members.acu.org.uk) If it is your first time, go to the Members Registration box, and click ‘Register Now’ and you will be asked for the ‘Unique number’ during the short process.

Your Unique Code will take the format of the Clubs ACU Number in the handbook ( Berkhamsted is 375), followed by a letter and 2 numbers.

If any of this is not clear, please call me,

Terry Golds, Centre Secretary 01582 455714 or 07747855264

    Report written by Paul Davies

    RESULTS HERE PICTURES HERE

Nene Valley MCC held their annual Ravensoake Trial at Duck End, nr Cranford on Sunday. This was the final round of the club championship and a round of the South Midlands Centre Youth championship round. With 65 riders attending for what was to be a great day for everyone. The weather report for Sunday was rain falling overnight with showers on the day; the trial was set out on Saturday with these conditions in mind. Luckily for all it stayed dry on the day, which made for a lower scoring trial than expected. The trial was 4 laps of 10 sections.

Thanks to Sir John Robinson for allowing us to use his land and to all the observers for manning their posts. Thanks also to Doug, Tony J, Malcolm, Paul, Dean, Nick B and Roy for their help in setting the sections out.

We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as the weather was very kind and better than forecasted, which made the sections a little easier.

Thank you all for your support this year, we look forward to seeing you all again in the new year.
